Ingredients: fresh Carrots, 1 cup milk, Khoya(Mawa), sugar, ghee(clarified butter), nuts and raisins.
- Wash and peel the carrots. Grate them using a grater.
- Take a pan and melt 3-4 tablespoons ghee to roast grated carrots.
- Roast the carrots for 15 minutes or until they get tender enough.
- Now add milk to carrots and cook for sometime. Once milk gets soaked into carrots, add Khoya and mix nicely.
- Add sugar, nuts and raisins.
- You can Serve gajar halwa hot or cool it down and serve as cold dessert.
Note: You can prepare instant Khoya by using butter, 3-4 tablespoonfuls milk, and milk powder. Warm the milk and mix butter into it. Add milk powder into it and mix properly. It starts get hard and form clumps.
